Dapplegrey 3.0.2 - Remembering the Preferences now
There is a new official
DOSBox version available, especially created for Mac OS X, still Universal Binary.
Follow the posting written by Dominus at this thread at VOGONS: 11th Hour crashes on startup
dosbox 0.74
There, Dominus wrote: "If you have downloaded
dosbox 0.74 some time ago, please download it again as the OSX version was updated just over a week ago. On OS X 10.7 and above it crashed on going fullscreen because of an incompatibility of
SDL with those OS X versions. Now that
dosbox is compiled with a newer version of
SDL it runs ok. If you use output=
opengl it should be fine, too."
As usual, you can download the newest version at the official
DOSBox site. This version, recognized as 0.74-1, is codesigned for Mt. Lion now.
If Dapplegrey 3.0.2 recognizes this newly compiled version, Dapplegrey will no longer ask whether the user wants to be warned against fullscreen setting again.
Plus, Dapplegrey will read its own preferences correctly now. This has been detected while the author of Dapplegrey checked
DOSBox 0.74-1.
Dapplegrey 3.0.1 - Maintenance Update
* Version 3.0 was not ready to delete files created by version 2.36 and earlier, but asked the user whether to do so. Since the developer of Dapplegrey switched to Mac OS X 10.8 Mt. Lion now, he confirmed that the files created by 3.x are written to hard disk drive successfully, Dapplegrey 3.0.1 will delete older files automatically now.
* For the Readme files to be listed in the "Drives/Hard Disk C:" section, the obscure file extension ".rst" and ".dme" has been added. File names like "Readmefi.rst" and some "*rea.dme" files will also be listed now.
* Mounting issues in the areas ´Games Included´ and ´Dapplegrey Toolbox´ entries has been fixed. If they has not been mounted correctly before, they should be mounted correctly now.
* One of the icon pictures used as application icon was blurred before.
