Hier mal ein Link zu einem sehr interessanten Stück Open-Source Hardware, dem Retro Adapter: http://retro.world3.net/

Hierbei handelt es sich um einen "universellen" Gamepad / Joystick Adapter für USB-Ports:

The Retro Adapter has two connectors, a 9 pin and a 15 pin "D-type". You can plug Atari / Commodore style joysticks, Sega Master System / System III, and Sega Megadrive / Genesis (3 and 6 button) pads in to the 9 pin connector. Neo Geo joysticks / pads can be plugged directly in to the 15 pin connector.
For other systems all you need is the right connector, or you can modify the controller itself while still retaining compatibility with the original system.
Once plugged in, the Retro Adapter works just like any normal USB gamepad or joystick. No need for drivers or anything like that. It will work with any game or emulator, and is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and the Playstation 3.

Ich glaube, der Bot ist kaputt ... Sad

Edit: Um hier mal den Bogen zum Thema zu konstruieren - kann sich jemand noch an die Catweasel-MK4-Karte erinnern? Die war ja im Emulationsbereich echt eine eierlegende Wollmilchsau! Mit dem enthaltenen Controller konnte man handelsübliche PC-Laufwerke kompatibel mit C64-, Amiga-, Apple-II- und Mac-Floppys machen; beispielsweise zum Erstellen von D64- oder ADF-Dateien. Dann konnte man sogar zwei SIDs einsetzen (mit Stereo-Unterstützung und Digiboost für die neueren Modelle) - bin mir jetzt aber nicht sicher, ob das jetzt kompatibel zum HardSID war.
Ach ja, der Kontext: Es gab zwei Anschlüsse für diese Standard-Joysticks (z.B. Commodore / Atari). Bestimmte Eingabemedien wurden sogar direkt unterstützt, wie die Amiga-Maus oder das CD32-Pad.
Und das ganze für 99 Euro (wenn ich mich recht entsinne)! Der Haken an der Geschichte: Das alles gab's nur für PCI (die erste Version lief sogar noch über den ISA-Bus). Und man wird auch Probleme haben, neuere Treiber zu finden als für Windows 2000 / XP.
Davon würde ich mir mal eine Neuauflage wünschen - am besten für PCIe mit Unterstützung für USB-Diskettenlaufwerke. Rolling Eyes
