Angespornt von Hellboys Großtat hab ich jetzt auch den berüchtigten Aufzugslevel bewältigt. Im Gegensatz zu den Tips aus der History.dat finde ich die untere Route allerdings leichter als die obere. Allerdings schwören ja angeblich vor allem die Profis auf die obere Route und von diesem Status bin ich noch weit entfernt. Laughing

Die Doku "The King of Kong" ist übrigens absolut sehenswert. Die Konsequenz mit der Billy Mitchell in diesem Stück den Schurken spielt ist schon beeindruckend... und der Score von Steve Wiebe natürlich erst recht. Laughing

Wo bleiben Eure Highscores? Um mal den guten Billy Mitchell zu zitieren: "The average Game of Donkey Kong doesn't last a minute. It's absolute brutality!" Ihr werdet doch wohl noch mal 10 min für ein paar Runden Donkey Kong oder Pacman erübrigen können!? Razz

Ich hab gerade jedenfalls mal meine 10 Minuten investiert und im 4ten Anlauf einen neuen Highscore hinbekommen. Und weil ich testen wollte ob das mit den Input-Files nun klappt oder nicht, hab ich zufälligerweise sogar ein solches File erstellt. Warum die Dinger trotz der Zufallsroutinen bei Dkong funktionieren ist mir zwar nach wie vor ein Rätsel aber ich nehm's natürlich gerne so hin. Wink

Meine Highscores befinden sich noch in der Entwicklung. Wink

Bei Donkey Kong konnte ich etwa bei 16.000 Punkten erreichen und bei Pac-Man sind es etwa 20.000 Punkte. Mein Gott ist letzteres Spiel öde.

Zu den Input Files. Ich bin mir nicht sicher vermute jedoch, dass mehr als nur die Eingaben des Spielers aufgezeichnet werden. Denn man benötigt keine 300 KB - die nach der Kompressionsrate zu urteilen bereits komprimiert sind - um ein paar Minuten lang Left, Right, Button und Timestamp zu loggen.

wie in vielen anderen spielen handelt es sich dabei ja nicht um echten zufall sondern um sogenannten pseudozufall, wirkt also zufällig, ist aber reproduzierbar.
von daher gibts da auch keine probleme mit den input-files.

Danke für den Link. Damit wird mir einiges klarer.
Der Weg zum Weltrekord wird damit zwar auch nicht unbedingt kürzer aber eine kleine Verbesserung meines persönlichen Highscores konnte ich dennoch erzielen:

Donkey Kong: 52900

Vielleicht schaffe ich bis zum Ende der Competition ja einen sechsstelligen Score ... Laughing
