I was wondering, in a match against PSX and N64, which one is better? Which one has better graphics and which one is more powerful? The N64 seems to have better graphics, but I haven't tried many games on it. Also, with the current emulators available, which can be emulated with better graphics, as there are many graphics improvement tools out there. |

Due to its texturalfiltering ond the smoother polygonal rendering, i prefer the n64, even, if it lags my prefered Games: Racing and RPG.
For PSX i havent found any amulatoer that forces Textural filtring (real filtering, not theis texturesize doubling) and smoothes out the Polygones. |

The PSX emulators+plugins try to emulate the PSX HW, rather than the library calls (gfx plugin).
More to do, but better compatibility.
IMHO the N64 guys choosed the easier path but the result is nothing allmost perfect.
So, the state od PSX emulation is IMHO more advanced than the current state of the N64 emulation.
If i had to choose between PSX and N64 years ago with my current experience i'd choose PSX. And borrowed a N64 console to play the zelda games. |

we also have some "low level" n64 emulators. But with them you see how crappty the n64 graphics are... it's up to you... |

I think there is a certain lack of motivation in the wolrld of N64 for a all-round five stars piece of code...
Fans, go find the authors and start the "bug report/request/plea...campaign". |

There is already a new accurate N64 emulator in the works as part of MESS.
And a new LLE (low level) graphics plug-in for Project64 which (once completed) should give accurate results as well.
The N64 has a nice alias name in Germany, some like to call it "Nebelwerfer" |

The N64 emulator "1964", has much better compatibility than Project64; I use 1964.
One thing that I really like as well is how small the N64 ROMs are. PSX ISOs are HUGE. |

But 1964 has fucked up save state handling. They sometimes corrupt. |

Hmm I didn't know that. I always use the MemPak thing and it seems to work fine.
Oh and your nick is "Falcone", is that like the Falcone that Batman had to deal with? lol |

.. i use exclusively emu-internal save state features, 'cause not all games allow you to restart exactly at the save spot or let you save when and where you want.
No, im not featured in Batman |
