R. Belmont hat eine neue Version seines Game Boy Advance Treibers für MESS veröffentlicht.


R. Belmont has released a new version of the Game Boy Advance driver for MESS.

MESS GBA driver, WIP version 24-MAR-2008
This version has the following:

* EEPROM, SRAM, and FLASH save support that sometimes even works
* Normal BGs and sprites, including sprite flipping
* Partial not-correct ROZ backgrounds
* Working GBA and “fallback” sound (the old GB sound channels are not at the right pitch)
* Missing ROZ sprites
* Working controls
* ARM7 CPU core bugs
* Partial mosaic support
* No window or blending effects

Help is welcome, especially with the rendering and/or chasing the remaining CPU core bugs. The driver is complete enough that several games are playable, but I wouldn’t yet recommend it over other GBA emulators.

Mmh... MESS, die Idee der eierlegenden Wollmilchsau. Brauch ich nicht.
Da hab ich lieber nen Emu für jedes System einzeln und wähle das über @ES an, oder ganz klassisch mit Verknüpfungen, als auf nen Emu mit ner hässlichen Benutzeroberfläche und vorallem keinerlei Komfort zu setzen.
So... flamt mich! Wink

Nö ich seh es ähnlich. Zumal mit MESS net möglich ist liebevoll auf Besonderheiten der jeweiligen Hardware einzugehen wie z.B. bei WinUAE. Als reduzierter Emu für bestimmte Computer-Architekturen wär er vielleicht praktikabler.
