Hi, habe das sony ericsson w180i und wollte wissen ob ich roms auf dem handy spielen kann.

ja, das würde mich auch interessiern, hab nun das SonyEricsson K610i,
und würde gerne wissen, ob man damit irgendwas in richtung emulation anstellen kann  |

Das kommt darauf an...
es gibt mehrere auf Java basierende Emulatoren(Hauptsächlich Gameboy), die man gratis auch im Browser zocken kann.
Daneben gibt es auch Emus die man kaufen kann(rate ich von ab) die können jedoch bloß "legale" Roms abspielen.
Gesehen habe ich davon schon Sega Mastersystem, Gameboy und glaube auch SNES. Jedoch konnte man die nicht auf den PC testen, womit man die Katze im Sack kaufen würde.
Zudem ist es auch eine Frage des Komforts, schließlich sind die meisten Konsolen damals mit mehr als nur 2 Tasten Joysticks versehen gewesen. Was das spielen von schnellen Jump & Runs sehr kompliziert machen sollte.
Gute Emus wie ZSNES o. Ä. sind meist nicht mit Java kompatibel, auch gab es diesbezüglich einen Tread beim ZSNES Forum.
 Also um es kurz zufassen

also ja es geht! es gibt z.b. vom entwickler vampent (www.vampent.com) und dessen NES-Emu eine java-fähige variante.
Wenn du wirklich intensiv unterwegs die alten sachen spielen willst, kann ich dir nur zu einem smartphone mit SymbianOS raten. Und es gibt einige geräte mit diesem OS auch für 1€
Für diese Betriebssystem gibts eine Menge Emulatoren, die teilweise sogar via bluetooth multiplayer beherrschen usw... einfach genial
die systeme die mir grad so einfallen die laufen: GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, GG, SMS, GEN, C64, MSX, Atari
