Eine neue Version von dem Kommerziellen (189.00US$) Multi PC Emulator VMware Workstation ist für Windows Betriebssysteme und Linux Systeme erschienen.
Dazu gibt es im VMware Virtual Machine Center Einige vorinstallierte virtuelle PCs (Der Besten open source Betriebssysteme) nach einer kostenlosen Registrierung von IBM Software, Oracle, BEA, MySQL, Red Hat, Novell,SUSE Linux,Ubuntu,und noch mehr.Bei der neusten Ubuntu 5.10 Codename"The Breezy Badger" ist keine Registrierung nötig.

This release addresses a security vulnerability that has been discovered in Workstation. VMware believes that the vulnerability is very serious, and recommends that users install the Workstation 5.5.1 update or disable NAT networking.
