Ich sah ein Gewebe mit ein Überschrift Schirm als Seiken Dicht 3 aber es gestanden Still über Fessel 2. ICH später gefunden raus jene dieses Überschrift Schirm ist nur bloss erst am deutsch Flicken des rom. ICH war langweilte mit nichts zu ausführen , ICH spieltet herum in Fotos und kam rauf mit ein Überschrift Schirm entwerfen ICH Vorstellung schaute fein. Gibt man beliebig möglich Weise zu tun dieses oder auch die " still über Fessel " Überschrift Schirm hinein ein Flicken jene Wille eben sich umziehen die Überschrift Markenzeichen und nicht Affekt die englisch Flicken des Dialog? ICH ausführen nicht begehren anrechnen fürs Abbild ICH gemacht , Ich bin willig zu Bestand irgend jemand Verwendung es zu anfertigen ein Flicken.

I saw a website with a title screen for Seiken Densetsu 3 but it said Secret of Mana 2. I later found out that this title screen is only in the german patch of the rom. I was bored with nothing to do, I played around in Photoshop and came up with a title screen design I thought looked nice. Is there any possible way to put this or the "secret of mana 2" title screen from the german rom into a patch that will just change the title logo and not affect the english patch of the dialogue? I do not desire credit for the image I made, I am willing to let anyone use it to make a patch.
If anybody out there wants my image - Please email me at "blaze.fox.kitsune[at]gmail.com" - I do not care who uses it or what for. I only want a title patch for the Seiken Densetsu 3 rom. I lack the skills and knowledge to code a patch myself, I only know how to use Photoshop.
I am jealous!
The german patch has the correct "Secret of Mana 2" title.
But the english patch has it say "Seiken Densetsu 3"
Is there a way to change the title screen?

Better stick to english - the babelfish translation is awful 
Changing the titlescreen of the ROM is not really trivial, it involves a lot of ROM hacking. The changed screen was made by d4s, who is now working at bof2 (see http://bof2.blogspot.com/) |

Yeah, I read about how complicated the process was on Wikipedia.
But I'm still jealous, the german rom has the correct title.
But I don't speak or read german very well.
Well anyway, whoever wants my image can have it.
And I'm not saying anyone MUST make a patch with it.
Though it would be really nice if someone could.
I tried asking at Zophar's Domain.
I only got a bunch of purists nagging at me
And saying "Sd3 is NOT Secret of Mana 2!"
(if so, then why do they have rabites and cannons?)
Is there no way at all to make a patch that would replace the title image graphic "Seiken Densetsu 3" in the english version rom with the german "Secret of Mana 2?" title image? |

It would be relative simple to copy and paste the title of the German translation into the English translation. Inserting a complet new title would be much difficult; as XTale said. But I wouldn't change the hard work of someone without his agreement.
BTW
I attached the title, which was rendered by d4s. I think it looks absolutely amazing; much better than the current title of the German translation. However, there is no patch available. Some time ago I asked d4s for this title, but if I remember correctly, he answered that it was only made for a homebrew cartridge. |

Yeah, that's another website I had seen where instead of Seiken Densetsu 3 it said Secret of Mana 2. It was a site on how to make your own playable snes cart from either the german or english Seiken Densetsu 3 rom. Seeing the alternate title screen sparked my interest and then I later found out the title was only in the japanese to german patch.

Anyways, Dragons Bretheren (one of the few people who wasn't a total jerk to me at the Zophar Forum) has made a patch which can change the title screen of any language rom of Sd3 to either the original japanese kanji title, the romaji "Seiken Densetsu 3" title, or the german "Secret of Mana 2" title. And he said the same things you did:
"Making a patch to transplant the title screen from the other rom would be simple, but trying to specifically encode a new title design into a patch would be imposslble unless someone knew how to get by the graphic compression." If anyone out there would still like to try putting my screen design into a patch, go right ahead, but for now I'm happy with the transplanted screen from the german rom. ^_^ |
