...The decreasing fun level coupled with the feeling that this was becoming more like a job than a hobby kind of just made me say, "Screw this!"

But that is past. I spoke with some people, and we're going to try something new. We are going to attempt to merge our little "news" archive with a Romhacking resource site, so that we finally have a central location that people can come to to hear about both the goings-on in the Translation AND hacking community, as well as a place to go for resources. Essentially, we are trying to create a warm, fuzzy home for everyone who enjoys our hobby. From the hackers themselves right down to the fans.

It is a lofty goal, but I think if everyone comes together, I think we can go with it, and will be worth the effort.

To that end, we will be working on getting much of The Whirlpool's content onto the new site. Until that time, we will keep The Whirlpool up, so that the file archives are accessible, and so that any news in the meantime can get out there. During this time, the "review" type content might be a little thin.

So, we have a long road, but I think we can do it. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, or so they say.
