AdvanceMAME ist ein Port von MAME, speziell für Arcade-Monitore und Fernseher, aber auch für PC-Monitore.
Note:
- Do not prevent startup if a mouse/joystick stick/axe/button name configured in the .ini is unplugged
- Fix saving of IPT_OTHER ports the .ini file
- Enable support for the MAME debugger
- Use standard ports for A2600 and remove default key mapping for non-standard DIP switches
- Add a new genre.ini
- Remove startup "sync" to avoid delay when starting the game
- Drop the dir_crc support
- Rename mspactwin to mspactwn to stay in the 8 chars limit

Robert hat eine neue Version von HBMAME veröffentlicht. HBMAME (ehemals MisfitMAME) enthält auch Hacks und andere Spiele, die nicht in der normalen MAME Version enthalten sind.

Das MAME Derivat GroovyMAME wurde für Windows und Linux aktualisiert. GroovyMAME enthält spezielle Features für CRT Monitore.
Note:
- GroovyMAME is a M.A.M.E. fork aimed at CRT monitors, with a strong focus on CRT preservation, since this is the only display technology that accurately replicates the genuine video game experience. However you can use GroovyMAME to alleviate some of the annoyances associated to emulation on LCD displays, specially for those models which are capable of refreshing at custom rates.
- Switchres 2.0 is a modeline generation engine for emulation. The Switchres project has become an independent library, and with it, GroovyMAME has been reworked, to hopefully achieve a cleaner and more robust integration.

Das MAME Derivat NegaMame (inkl. dem Frontend Negatron) wurde für Windows, Linux und macOS aktualisiert.
Note:
- Along with MAME and all its fork, NegaMAME 0.277-1 is also ready for download. Go grab it at https://babelsoft.net/products/negamame.htm
- This MAME derivative has been designed to be used with the front-end Negatron in order to have complete access to all the machine configuration options within Negatron, especially useful for emulated computers and consoles.
- This is quite irrelevant for emulated arcade games though. If you only play arcade games, you can simply use Negatron with regular MAME.
- Note: 0.277-1 must be understood as the 1st version of NegaMAME synchronised with MAME v0.277. If other issues arise with this version, I would release a v0.277-2.
- Note 2: NegaMAME is available for all major desktop OSes, Windows (x64), Linux (x64) and macOS (x64 and AArch).

MAMEUI64 (ehemals MAME32 / MESSUI / MAMEUI Classic) wurde auf die aktuelle MAME Version aktualisiert. MAMEUI bietet eine integrierte Windows-Benutzeroberfläche.
Note:
- Bugfixes for location of ini files
- Bugfixes for various things in the Interface Options menu
- Rename horizontal.ini to horizont.ini to align with MAME
- C64: removed restrictions on .crt files which caused half of the existing files to be rejected
- New Not-Working system: Cybervision 2001
- In treeview, fixed changing to another folder and not switching back
- In Game Properties, the Software tab only shows if the system supports software
- fixed crash if swpath is empty

Eine neue Version des Multiple Arcade Machine / Console und Computer Emulators MAME wurde veröffentlicht. Das sind die Neuerungen in der aktuellen Version.
Note:
- Have you been wondering what MAME 0.277 will bring? Well, now you can find out! First of all, we’ve added support for compiling on 64-bit ARM-based systems running Windows 11 using the MSYS2 CLANGARM64 environment. Updates to included third-party libraries should resolve some issues people were having with new compilers and development environments.
- In improvements that you can see, Konami GX blending effects are now looking much nicer, Sega Model 2 3D geometry is behaving better, and some remaining issues with Philips CD-i graphics decoding have been fixed. You may be able to hear improved sound emulation in some Famicom, WonderSwan, and Game Boy games, too. If that’s too subtle, you should be able to hear the difference in the DMX and LinnDrum percussion synthesisers.
- There’s a big update for the Apple II and Macintosh floppy disk software lists this month. A lot of Macintosh NuBus cards have been overhauled as well, so let us know if we’ve inadvertently broken your virtual Macintosh setup. There are plenty of other software list additions, including a batch of tapes for Sinclair computers.
- That’s all we’re going to cover here, but much more has happened this month in MAME development. You can read all about it in the whatsnew.txt file, and source code and 64-bit Windows binary packages are available from the download page.
