Here we go!!!! wait... am not Super Mario anyways lets get started....
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Since the development of the current @ES has reached a very important level i think its already good enought to get out of the ´Beta´ stage. because of that i thought its time for another release which has several key features people were expecting from @ES and requesting since long time.
Changes in this version:
-- New Settings file is required due to the huge changes so if you´re using a previous beta version use the new settings file instead and re-configure your paths(sorry for that but it was necessary).
-- Customizable Shortcuts via settings layer(changes work on the fly).
-- Lots of internal bugs fixes created by small bugs in the multi-threading code.
-- Multi-threading speedups
--
Bsnes support
-- Emulators Full screen support(using the icon or by pressing ALT+F).
-- Quick Emu-close shortcut by pressing CTRL+Q.
-- Emulators menu ´ALT´: access the Emulators menu by pressing ALT then the down row key(do not press them toguether). if done right the Emulator menu should appear and you can browse it using your keyboard rows (some Emulators menus may not work like
ePSXe for example).
--
DeSmuMe aspect ratio correction and full screen support.
-- No more control lose or sync problems(in case the control do not work move the mouse over @ES or click the skin or screen).
-- On the fly default Emulator switching(customizable via settings layer)
-- MSN info support for Audio and Games.
-- Video full screen support(not fully complete atm but at least something )
NOTE ABOUT FULL SCREEN SUPPORT:
All Emulators supported by @ES should work without problems except for PJ64,
ePSXe and
Bsnes. in order to make them work propertly you will need the following:
ePSXe:
Requires
Pete´s OpenGL2 2.9 plugin in order to work and as usual the windowed resolution of 512x384 must be set.
Bsnes:
Before running the emulator in @ES start the emulator(by double-clicking the .exe) and press ALT+Enter to enter the fullscreen and once done exit the emulator and you´re ready to go.
PJ64:
Project64 has always been the hardest one to get working propertly and still require to set the windowed resolution to 512x384 but at least full screen support works fine this time. however its the only emulator that requires ALT+F(or ALT+Enter) to exit once in full screen modus(no bottom bar visible).
The rest of the Emulators:
The rest works perfectly in full screen modus and to return to @ES windowed modus click the ´Return´ button in the bottom bar visible in full screen modus.
Note about ALT+F to Full screen/Windowed switching:
ALT+F works globaly which means you can browse any section of @ES while playing a game and do whatever you want and if you press ALT+F you instantly switch back to Full screen mode. this is handy when you play games that do not have music at all as you can keep your audio layer visible in the back while playing in full screen mode..
