Wine (ursprünglich ein Akronym für "Wine Is Not an Emulator") ist eine Kompatibilitätsschicht, die es ermöglicht, Windows-Anwendungen unter POSIX-konformen Betriebssystemen auszuführen, wie z.B. Linux, macOS und BSD.

Wine (originally an acronym for "Wine Is Not an Emulator") is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, macOS, & BSD.

The Wine development release 6.0-rc3 is now available.

What's new in this release:

Bug fixes only, we are in code freeze.

The source is available now. Binary packages are in the process of being built, and will appear soon at their respective download locations.
