Eine neue Version des Multiple Arcade Machine / Console und Computer Emulators MAME wurde veröffentlicht. Das sind die Neuerungen in der aktuellen Version.
A new version of the Multiple Arcade Machine / Console and Computer emulator MAME has been released. These are the changes.
Quote: MAME 0.275 is out now! It’s been a short month, but there’s still been plenty of interesting development. This release adds support for several arcade games on PlayStation-based hardware, a few PowerBook Duo sub-notebook computers, some hand-held LCD games, and a couple of Casio music keyboards.Support for the Zorro II bus used in the Amiga 2000 has been improved, including DMA support and a few more emulated cards. Some graphical glitches in Konami arcade games have been fixed. The Oberheim DMX drum machine is now fully emulated. We’ve even optimised the recompilers a little more this month.You can read about all the work that’s gone into this release in the whatsnew.txt file, or get source code and 64-bit Windows binary packages from the download page.

Danke, so was schaue ich mir hin und wieder recht gern an. Ich bin ja immer noch bei Version 0.197 hängengeblieben. Ich rede mir das gern schön, weil das ja auch das letzte ROMset ist, das von DEmul unterstützt wird. Ich finde aber auch das Aktualisieren ziemlich anstrengend, selbst wenn einem clrmamepro viel Arbeit abnimmt.
Gibt es hier eigentlich jemanden, der MAME auf seinem Rechner immer aktuell hält - inklusive allen Medien, die dafür verfügbar sind? |

Ich bin jetzt nichtmehr der große ROM-Sammler von früher, mein MAME-Set inkl. CHDs und Samples ist aber nach wie vor aktuell.
Softwarelists, Hacks und Artworks interessieren mich aber nicht, falls du das bei "alle Medien" mit einschließt. |

Mit allen Medien meinte ich alle Disk-, CD-ROM- und Festplatten-Images (etc.) für alle Systeme (Amiga, Apple II, Mega Drive etc.). 
In meinem MAME-ROM-Ordner sind nur die Arcade-Systeme. |

Ich sehe leider nicht ganz den Sinn darin, alle Konsolenspiele nochmal zu sammeln, die ich schon bei No-Intro weitestgehend vollständig habe.
MAME ist für mich (wie der Name schon besagt) ein Arcade-Emulator. |

Ehrlich gesagt hatte ich mich aber schon dabei ertappt, wie ich bei MAME irgendwelche kuriosen Systeme gestartet hatte. Den Schneider Euro PC beispielsweise - wenn auch eigentlich nur, weil ich mich an die Fernsehwerbung in meinen jungen Jahren erinnern konnte. |
