Version 25.1 des Shining Force Translation Project ist erschienen. Das Projekt übersetzt Szenario 2 und 3 von Shining Force 3 ins Englische und korrigiert das Skript des ersten Szenarios, das für Regionen außerhalb Japans abgeändert wurde.

Die Translation ist schon vor zwei Monaten erschienen, es kann aber nicht schaden wieder an das Projekt zu erinnern.

Ich verstehe nicht wirklich, warum sich das Projekt als Translation bezeichnet, vor allem wegen diesem Text aus der Patch-Anleitung:
Quote:

The Scenario 1 patch requires the NA or PAL version. It will not work correctly with the Japanese
version.


Eine NA oder PAL version sollte ja schon in English sein und auch ist das Patch-Archiv vollgepackt mir irgendwelchen MODs die das Gameplay verändern. Fühlt sich nicht wirklich so an, als ob man mit der Patchsammlung noch das originale Spiel spielt.

Update: Ok, habs nun gelernt. Shining Force Scenario 1 gab es in den USA und Europa in English aber die Szenarios 2 und 3 waren Japanexklusiv. Also ist es für 1 Drittel eine Überarbeitung und für 2 Drittel eine richtige Übersetzung.
Und die MODs sind alle optional.

Mir kam das Spiel schon vor mehr als 25 Jahren (oh Mann...) unfertig vor als ich es durchgespielt hatte.
Sehr viel später habe ich dann dank Internet auch herausgefunden warum. Das Ende wurde für die PAL-Region abgeändert damit es halbwegs als vollständiges Spiel durchgeht.
Der Patch korrigiert das Ende bei Szenario 1 (bei uns auch genannt Shining Force III) und übersetzt die fehlenden beiden Szenarios.
