Der 3DO Emulator FreeDO wurde aktualisiert.


The 3DO Emulator FreeDO has been updated.

Now you can load any images (iso, bin, nrg...) whith sector size 2048.
Fixed problem whith overcross poligones in NFS, Battle Sport and other 3D games.
And some others small changes.

1. Full rewrited CEL engine - revers original algorithm of texturing.
2. Fix poligons overcrossing (in 3d-games - NFS, Battle Sport and others)
3. Fix missing textres (in Off World Interceptor, NFS...)
4. Fix texture position (subpixel accuracy) - in DOOM, Gex - you can see this.
5. Any types of cd-images whith 2048 sector size support now (iso,nrg,cdi...)
6. We forgot delete Debug functions, so you can use it Smiley
7. On F12 you can do screenshots.

Hab mich auch gefreut als ich das gelesen habe. Ich besitze zwar ein 3DO, aber so gut wie keine Spiele dafür.

Sogar die (pseudo-3D) Egoshooter Doom und Wolfenstein 3D sind nicht mehr Spielbar weil man nichts mehr richtig erkennen kann, aber wenigstens ist jetzt PO'ed spielbar.

Pseudo 3D?
Doom und Wolfenstein sind waschechte Egoshooter und immernoch besser als vieles was sich heute Egoshooter schimpft.

Das Pseudo 3D ist nur für das 3D was es ja nicht ist sondern nur Sprites.

Merkwürdige Ansicht. Nur weil nicht alles in Polygongrafik dargestellt wird ist ein Egoshooter noch lange nicht "Pseudo-3D".
Sprites kommen auch heute noch zur Darstellung von prinzipiell dreidimensionalen Objekten in Egoshootern zum Einsatz, siehe zB Spinnweben in Doom 3 oder Gräser in Unreal 2.

Sorry dem kann ich nicht zustimmen. Die Engines von Doom und Duke Nukem können schräge Flächen darstellen und die Räume sind auch stapelbar. Bei Wolfenstein würde ich das ja noch eventuell einsehen, aber Doom, Duke Nukem, Dark Forces etc _sind_ 3D.

Ich habe jeden der genannten Egoshooter mehrfach durchgespielt, darf ich fragen wie du "gestapelt" in dem Zusammenhang definierst?

Edit: Deinen Edit habe ich erst jetzt gelesen btw.

Die Levels basieren auf 2D blueprints, dh du kannst keinen raum über einem anderen haben.
Wobei die Build engine es später "ercheatet" hat, indem man maps zur laufzeit "übereinander" geschoben hat.
